John was at the vet office with Pudgy for hours. They ran multiple tests and performed an x-ray of her chest. It was determined that Pudgy simply has asthma. This morning's episode was an asthma attack. Pudgy was given a shot and sent home - to the tune of $330. If she has another attack, we have to take her back for another shot. I am actually relieved that it is only asthma. When John first arrived, the vet was concerned that Pudgy was having heart trouble. Thank goodness Pudgy is okay.

Glad pudgys ok, they are like your children, your bound to worry! Big bill tho, youch!
I have no pets as, my last cat got run over and i was so upset i have never wanted another! my bloody neighbour ran him over and i have never spoken to them since!
I'm so glad it's something you can fix easily!
Isn't it crazy how expensive vet stuff is? We once had to have surgery on one of our dogs' legs and it was THOUSANDS and I didn't even blink, which as you know for me is an odd reaction.
Oh boy-I am so happy you know what it is. Maybe try changing her food to something that does not have mucous producing stuff in it or try a homeopathic remedy-dogs and babies react so well to them. I am sure you can one at whole foods. Vet are so expensive but we just got Stan and Esther insurance after Stan had his whole knee surgery and back issues-UGH-so much money but worth it. Ouch!
I'm so happy Pudgy's okay! At least you know what the problem is now. It would be nice if vet bills were so darn expensive.
Glad it's ok. Even still, asthma can be scary.
Hey....if your mom comes to take care of Porgie, and she smokes---keep her away from the cat!
Smoke will exacerbate the cat's asthma, and treating the asthma will be expensive. Not to mention the fact that you & your hubby will probably not be home when/if another asthma attack happens, and you'll want to make sure the cat gets treatment in a timely manner...
Just don't let her smoke around the cat, mmmmmkay?
