Why am I so bitchy?

You'll be happy to know that John finished enclosing/mulching/building stuff for the new play area in our backyard this weekend. It is AWESOME. My kids have spent countless hours in the yard playing. I really want all of you to come over and see our spiffy new stuff. Anyone?

We have new neighbors moving in. I really think I am too anti-social to live in such close proximity to other people. I really liked having vacant houses on the side and behind our house. Somehow, it made our house (in a sea of houses) feel secluded. But those days are long gone.

I grew up in the city. We didn't talk to our neighbors. We all kept to ourselves, carefully avoiding eye contact as we hurried to our cars. It was FABULOUS. But that doesn't happen here. People always wave and smile and chat. It is nice, but sometimes I wish that I could go back to the days of my youth. I just don't feel like being nice all the time. John tells me (on a regular basis) that I am a bitch. He is probably right. But other people are annoying.

Do you still want to come over to play? No? Oh, that is right - I am a BITCH. Of course you don't want to play at my house. Or maybe you do? Maybe you're just as bitchy and bitter as I am? Come over and we can talk smack about other people. Sound good?

I live in a townhouse...I never talk to any of my neighbors in our unit, lol I like that shirt idea.

Don't worry - If I lived close, I would bring over my two chaps and we would sit outside and talk shit about anyone and everyone. :)

we would so be the best of neighbors. if we felt like talking and smiling and waving - great. and if we felt like flipping each other off - great too. but the talking smack on other people - my perfect day :)

can't wait to come over!

I have a hard time with all of the suburb friendliness too. Must be a city thing.

I grew up in a small town and have loved the city life for that reason. I don't always feel chatty either. I'm with you - it's a bit annoying when others always want to talk! :)

LOL. You'd hate us. We smile and wave at everyone. And they do the same. But we also have times where we just want to be left alone, so we do that too. If you feel chatty, you sit out in your driveway and talk to neighbors. I like it because everyone wants to play with and hold Bayley, so it gives me some hands free time. lol.

I'd still want to come play. We would get along just fine. :)

I feel the same way...sometimes. Othertimes I am the one waving with the ridiculous smile. I avoid going outside in our backyard some days just beacuse I am too lazy to get ready and im wearing the most god awful outfit with my hair a mess and no makeup. I want to see no other living thing. However we live in the 'plastic suburbia houses so close to each other you can touch them land'. Poor Sophia her mommy is too lazy to get ready and therefore is locked up all day. Also I had a neighbor who had a boy the exact same age and she ALWAYS wanted to hang out, i was this close to moving away just to get away from her. But they just moved, yippeeee!! Maybe they moved because I was such a monster, haha!
