Confessions of a blogger

1. Some of the blogs I read annoy the shit out of me. The author genuinely irritates me, but I can't seem to stop reading. It is a sickness. I want to see what annoying thing they'll do next.

2. I don't usually read those letters people write to their children every month. Snore.

3. The more comments someone gets, the less likely I am to comment. For example, I love Uppercase Woman (who regularly gets a million comments), but I could count the number of times I have commented on her blog on one hand.

4. I have the blogs in my reader arranged in a hierarchy. Do you want to know where you rank? Well, too bad. It is a secret.

5. Sometimes, I comment even when I didn't read the entire post. Shhhh...don't tell anyone.

I think there are more "confessions of a blog-reader" ;-)

And I think we all have a few of those.

lol. I love you.

Of course, I could be one of the bloggers that annoy the shit out of you and I may be at the bottom of your hierarchy. But that's okay. You can hate me. I enjoy reading you.

And I have realized I have made comments on yours that were never meant to be ugly, but somehow I worded them to make them sound as such. My latest one was where I said you sounded happier than you have been in a long time... and I didn't mean you sound bitchy/mad/etc because I think you are honest and hilarious. So I apologize for that.

I read a few "biggies" Dooce, finslippy, Alittlepregnant, etc,
Sometimes, it annoys me when they show off how much money they have (FROM BLOGGING??!!) & all the beautiful objets d'art they have splashed around their homes. (Who's a bitter-Betty??) I rarely if ever comment since they already have 586 comments on "what color is my fingernail polish" posts.
I haven't been a good commenter lately. I've read a lot of posts, and only commented on 3 or 4.
My hierarchery? Alphabetical. I know, I'm tres original.

I like down-to-earth-honest people

I'm with you on the commenting thing. With a few exceptions, I prefer the blogs with a "smaller" following. When I first started to read/write blogs, I read Deuce and Amalah and the like. But now, I have shied away from those big blogs and stick with bloggers that are more...accessible. makes you feel more of a connection when you aren't one of thousands.

I probably annoy the shit out of you because I'm one of those sappy writers to my kids.. That's so when they grow up they can see I do see their sweet side even though I scream at them all the damn time. Also, When I write sweet things about the hubs.. it's to get a mani/pedi and the credit card... shhhh... don't tell! LMAO!

Nice...

I think I only read about 3 bigger blogs. One of those actually falls under your annoying category for me lol. She writes on interesting subjects but the tone is getting worse and worse but I cant stop reading lol. I have just about stopped commenting on it. Another I rarely comment because she has 3453453 comments on each post and if I accidently hit for replies to get sent to me (because I'm used to doing so) it floods my email.

I guess I've been lucky and missed the letters to kids lol. I've seen one that addresses every post to her kids though. Is cute...... (kinda)

#4 makes me laugh. I'd say I don't have one because I dont do the reader thing, but as much as I try to read whichever new post pops up on my blog list.. there are some I tend to read sooner than others.

I can understand 5, esp when there's a point you want to hit & get distracted by it... I've done that on places like CM. My problem here is remembering to comment after reading them lately. Horrible = me.

If someone annoys you and you continue reading then I don't think you have a right to complain.

Beyond that, the blogging world is seriously jacked. It reminds me of a high school society where there is an "elite" group that gets tons of comments, there is the group you aspire to belong to and the bloggers you wish would pay attention to you, there are the bullies... it's all very interesting to me and at times makes me wonder why I still even bother.

You are consistently entertaining though and girl, you have balls!

This is HILARIOUS! I do the same things, except #4, I didn't know I could do a hierarchy. Off to do that

not going to lie i sneaked a peek at this post b4 hubby's little vacation and i have stressed it ever since.

bc i am a dork like that.

1) i wish we had a blog break up handbook. i am currently trying to break up with a few people.

2) i hate the letters too. and i write them! how sad is that?

3) totally agree

4) i do want to know. badly. but honestly i don't care where i am, as long as i am not on the "i want to break up with her" list.

5) all. the. flippin. time

hehe, you crack me up although I am guilty of the letter to my baby girl. There is on person in particular that drives me nuts and I REFUSE to go to her blog because it is the most contradicting piece of crap ever! :) You are great for being so honest! Oh and I am guilty of a few of those!
