My daughter's feet are growing at an alarming rate. In the past few months, she has gone up TWO shoe sizes. It seems like all of her shoes fit her, and then suddenly her toes are hanging over the top of her sandals. I just bought her THREE new pairs of shoes a few months ago, and none of them fit anymore.
To remedy this situation we went to my beloved Target yesterday to buy some new shoes. Their sandal selection was awful. AWFUL. I refused to purchase anything. On the way home, I decided to stop at Payless. Their sandal selection was awful too. After throughly searching the entire section, I did manage to find one pair of brown shoes that were okay, but they were $15. Is it just me or does $15 sound like A LOT of money for shoes that will probably only last for a month or two? We bought them because the girl needs to have something on her feet, but I am not happy.
I also had to purchase myself a new pair of flip flops, because I cannot find the pair I just bought last month. Oddly enough, my shoes only cost $7. Damn stupid payless.

I hate payless.
The commercials are fabulous, the shoes are adorable, but I NEVER find anything that *I* like there.
I also have really, really. big. feet. I'm only 5'6" but I wear a size 10 shoe. It's hard to find a cute summery espadrille that doesn't make my gigiantic feet look like I'm wearing Bozo shoes.
I generally love Target for the kids' shoes.
Maybe since it's July, and the frozen depths of winter are almost upon us (cue dramamtic music) they are restocking with all the back-to-school stuff and winter, fleece lined snow boots?
that should be "dramatic"
sorry bout the shoes.
i have a love/hate relationship with payless as well.
we have our good days and our bad days.
silly shoes
I always buy my kids shoes atleast a 1/2 size bigger in case their feet grow quickly. :)
I never find anything at Payless either.
i can never find anything at payless.... everything is always cute on tv.. then i go to the store and nothing!
Cute shoes! They never have any shoes in Claire's size at Payless.
I know what you mean. I love boys shoes, they are easier. :)
I also like to just buy the even sizes, I never buy halfs and I always OVER size it a little so it will last a little bit longer.
Oh - I know how you feel. I have the hardest time finding shoes for my toddler daughter. The cheap shoes look (and I suspect feel) cheap and even the expensive ones come in pink, pink and pink. What happened to the simple navy sandles of our youth (Buster Browns maybe)? I would LOVE to find a pair of those since my only neutral option seems to be white - which will turn grey/brown within minutes. Very frustrating!
Don't you hate it when the kids grow out of their shoes so quickly??
Our schools go back in August and i will have to spend around £90 on school shoes for all the boys. Grr!
The shoes are adorable!
We have similar growing feet here. The kiddos were size 3 & 4 forever, then I bought a round of shoes in 4, 5, 6, and now S is almost out of 4 and J almost out of 6. There are some shoes that have never been worn.
Consider yourself lucky. My son has big WIDE feet. He is 20 months....wears a size 8 XW. So I hae to buy him Stride Rites. He can wear the real Crocs(not the fake because they don't stretch as much) if I shove his lil chubby feet in them. So, I'm always on Ebay looking for the next size in XW.
try here if you like to online shop http://www.pediped.com
The Giselle chocolate brown with polka dots are my fav...they are pricey I guess..but 1 good pair is better than 2 cheapos??!!! ( I could so be your personal shopper I LOVE baby GIRL STUFF!)
I'm so glad Teachbroeck said something...I LOVE Pedipeds, esp the ones she's talking about. A wee bit more pricy, but worth it. Ava's foot is going through a growth spurt too...but she only wears a 5 and she's almost 2 1/2 and she qualifies for the smallest feet on the planet.
Ellie LOVES flip flops and we can never find her any that fit. We have looked everywhere and it seems like they are WAY to small or WAY to big.
What the hell is with these kids growing so fast?!?!?!?!!!
I know shoes are terrible. I always search through our local consignment stores for kids shoes because they are the one thing that kids never seem to wear enough to mess up when they're that little so I usually find great deals on shoes for the boys that look brand new.
I was a little disappointed to Target's shoe selection too.
Those are cute sandals ~ I know what you mean ~ my 2 are always needing new shoes and it cost me a fortune each time!!
Mine have to have school shoes and then trainers and shoes to wear when not at school ~ I basically work to buy them shoes ha ha XXXX
well they are cute:) and look like they will hold up for her. surely if her feet have grown so much lately they will stop for a bit...

can i just ask if you have ever seen swistles shoe closet thing....with like a cajillion sizes in it..that woman is brilliant i wanna be like her
You want to know what's funny? I found these same exact shoes for Taylor at Payless on clearance for $4 and picked them up for her even though they won't fit her for a while! But I hear ya kids shoes are so expensive sometimes!
Cute shoes!
i have been having the same problem this year.
cora needed sandals...couldn't find cute ones that fit her anywhere.
finally...my mom and i were shopping with girls in tow at a trendy baby shop...my mom wanted to try some cute sandals on her...$41! i said no way...then she miraculously stood up and walked across the store. my mom bought them on the spot. (i'm not sharing that she's walked that far on several occasions with me...)
those shoes are very sweet. i was just at target and got some good deals there on toddler shoes. you should check it out.
head over to my blog...i left you something there! =)
