The many shades of me

I have two types of friends - real life friends and internet friends. I really do consider many of you to be my friends. Sometimes I'll even bring you up in a conversation with a real life friend, and they'll look at me like I am INSANE. Since none of them know about my blog, I am sure they wonder how I meet all these people online.

Anyways, I have an urge to invite you into my house. I want to show you all of my cool stuff - like my purses or my paintings or Porgie's nursery. Today, I am going to share my lamps with you.

This lamp is in the corner of my livingroom. We bought it at Lowe's about 2 years ago. It is actually part of a set. We have two more lamps that match this one. I think it is pretty.
This lamp is in Porgie's room. I won this lamp at a Christmas Party about 5 years ago. It puts off a lovely soft glow, which is great to read by.
This lamp is in Izzy's room. My grandma's next store neighbor gave her this lamp, and she gave it to me. I've had it for at at least 8 years. Like Porgie's lamp, Izzy's lamp also puts off a great soft glow.
This is the lamp on the night stand in my bedroom. I have no idea where it came from, but I've had it FOREVER. Notice that the kids get the neat lamps, and I am stuck with the crappy one. What is up with that?

Oh, my goodness! Those are FANTASTIC lamps! I am so envious. I have BPS disease(Barely Perceptible Style), so my house is, and pretty much always has been, apartment blah colored. All those rich colors and gorgeous shades of light make me quite dizzy with envy. Can I take a nap in your daughter's room? You did say we were invited, right? lol

I LOVE the first one, second is runner up. VERY nice! Thanks for sharing! :)

Oh and I totally know how you feel. I bring up my 'internet' friends too and people look at me like I'm nuts!

First paragraph: 100% with you on that.

First lamp: We have that same design from Lowe's but in the form of ceiling fixtures!!!

Final lamp: Hell, I don't even have a BEDROOM anymore.

No one in your life knows about your blog?!! How strange. Why do you keep it from them? It's delightful!!!

I loved peeking into your house. A person's home is such an intimate reflection of them. I'll have to invite you to my place some time.

xoxo ~ Melain

I love the lamp in Porgie's room! And the turtle one is so funky! Also, that first one - I'm glad you revealed where you bought it. We have a horrible plain contemporary one (that we bought who knows where 6 years ago) in our living room and I HATE it. That one is much cooler.

I like how your bedroom lamp is casting a soft glow on your disposable nursing pads. Ha ha

I end up talking about blogging friends in real life too. I'm home with a six month old all day... I love her to pieces but yall are the only real conversation I get most days lol.

I love the lamp pics btw...esp the first one! We got a really cute one from a white elephant gift, but no light to go in it yet lol.

My blog is secret too - no one I see IRL knows about it.

Love the lamps - the turtle is adorable.

I think I have more Internet friends than InRealLife friends.

Sad huh?

I love the living room lamp! I've been thinking about new lamps since Will likes to climb over the arm of the loveseat & beat the hell out of the lampshade. With a torche lamp, he couldn't do that.

One of these days, we should figure out a way to have a "virtual coffee clatch" or something. We could all post pics of our homes and we'll sit around & gossip all afternoon.

I can't get a new lamp for the living room because between the 2 amimals it always gets KNOCKED off the end table. I enjoyed looking at yours though. I held off getting one for Baby H then I found the perfect one...they really make a room!

I have 2 lamps in my house. 1 in Dylan's room I never turn on and 1 in the living room I never turn on. They just collect dust.

Yours are pretty and serve a purpose, which is even better.

right now, the lamps in our bedroom don't even have shades on them b/c everywhere I go that I actually find a lampshade that I like---well, I can only find one, and I need two.

so, shhhhh....don't tell anyone!

...and the turtle lamp is my favorite!

My 6 year old Emily would LOVE to have your turtle lamp. I can never let her know that such a lamp exists or she'll ask me every day to get her one, hahaha.
