My baby isn't THAT fat

Remember when I told you that Izzy was too fat for his swing? As it turns out, the motor just went bad. Right after the swing broke, John contacted Graco. They sent us a new motor last week, and now the swing works perfectly.

This is great, except for the fact that we already bought a new swing. The new swing was pretty expensive (about $100). I really want to take the new swing back to Target. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the swing, so John thinks we should just keep it. Would it be so awful to lie and say that the swing doesn't work? Its not like the people at Target are going to set the swing up to make sure I am telling the truth.

In closing, $100 is a lot of money and we don't need two swing. What should I do?

Actually I am sure Target has a great return policy, I would take it back and say that your kid is too big for the swing. Then you are not lying too much, since you make great fatty momma milk. Yeah $100 can buy clothes for the little one or a massage for his momma.

My experience is actually that Target has a horrible return policy, but if you have the receipt, or the card you paid for it with, it should be okay. If they ask why you are returning it, say whatever you want.

Hi! I'm back! Hopefully be able to post a blog today too :-) But I would definantly return the swing, if you don't need another one why hold onto it!

I agree with Eva...Target's return policy is not that great. As long as you have the receipt, though, you should be fine - no matter what you say about your reasons for the return.

Why does he want to keep it? I think Target takes returns back pretty easily as long as you have your receipt. They don't usually ask why you are returning something either.

if it was me i would return it for sure. target has become super jerks lately about returns though and you have to have the receipt they wont even look it up anymore. grrrrrr they are butt heads. and also i would totally say it didnt work. and on the off chance they set it up say odd it didnt work when i used it, it must be faulty i dont want a faulty swing.

i'm an asshole

I have never had a problem returning anything to Target.

Just say that you don't need the swing. There's nothing wrong with it, you just don't need it. Yes, $100.00 can buy plenty of other stuff at Target.

If you have the receipt, definitely return it. Just say you changed your mind.

If you don't have the receipt...save it for someone really special.

you don't have to say it is broken or ANYTHING, just say it wasn't what you wanted. As long as you have a receipt or the card like Eva said they don't care.
