Camera Conundrum

I need camera help! I have been searching the internet, but there are just too many options. Everything has positive and negative reviews. How in the hell am I suppose to know which camera to pick? Basically, I just want a camera that is relatively small and simple to use, that takes great pictures (obviously). And cost under $300. Since I can't seem to make a decision, I thought I would turn to the old trusty blog. What kind of camera do you use? Do you like it? Is there a camera you have had your eye on? Tell me what to buy!

P.S. Our current camera is a Canon Powershot A460, so please don't recommend that. Thanks!

I have a Canon SD790 IS Digital ELPH. I Looooooove it! It takes very clear photos and is easy to use. I still haven't read the manual so it probably does a LOT more than I know about. :)

They're around $220. And you can prob use your Canon accessories with it. :)

Umm.. hello :) I have been reading your blog for sometime now and have never commented. But now that you have asked about cameras, I have to brag about my Panasonic Lumix FH20.

This camera has been awesome. It takes awesome pictures and there are enough settings to take any kind of picture that you like. 14.1 mega pixels and 8x optical zoom for only $180! I highly recommend it! (Even my friend, who is a professional photographer, was impressed with the quality and features of the camera, especially for the price).

I like the Nikon Coolpix. Teensy little camera fits in my back pocket, and takes gorgeous pictures. Not too spendy either.

All I recommend is Canon. Mine was much more expensive and can be quite inconvenient, but does take BEAUTIFUL photos.
