A stepping stool to help our dogs climb into bed with us. Now it is used by a toddler to climb onto the bed and then teeter dangerously close to the edge.
A kitchen table with very high barstools. My children won't be able to safely sit on one of these stools until they are at least 5 or 6 years old.
A coffee table with baskets for storage. Porgie used to pull every thing out of the baskets and toss it on the floor. Now she colors on everything in the baskets.
Don't even get me started on the bookshelves, CD rack, and DVD stand.

We so have some of those too. Including the TALL stools. :)
I feel ya! I look around our house and I'm like CRAPPP!! What were we THINKING having KIDS!?? We have to get rid of all our cool and dangerous STUFF!
Our bookshelves have recently become a nightmare for me. Claire never bothered them before and now she pulls everything out of them. Fun, fun, fun...
Yep shes a toddler! We have the same with most....
We also have some good ideas that have had to be customized for Ellie's protection. Like kitchen cupboards....I mean really, who were these things inveted by. They obviously had no children:)
i am sure we are soon about to discover our very own housefull of "good ideas."
thanks for the current list of "remove before the bean breaks free" items. looks like i have some rearranging to do.
This is why our attic has more furniture than some of our rooms.
Thank goodness we bought most of this furniture when we had Max already. Our other furniture was just a combo of my hubby and I stuff from our single days.
Uggh! You would post this now... When I'm pulling out my hair because Kalila is starting to move around all too well lol. I have a feeling we're going to be regretting some of our furnishing choices too!
i hear you. everything you own becomes a weapon or an accident waiting to happen.
finally caught up on your blogs. they make me laugh outright, because i SO KNOW how you feel.
THAT right THERE is why i'm so much better off--kids are too-- working again.
I have tons of things that were a good idea before kids.
I swear, if I could design my dream home right now...it would be so baby-proof, and completely different than any home I would have designed...oh, 3 years ago!
My contributions-
A 110 lb. dog
White-ish carpet
I made a new award and you're one of the winners... come and check it out when you get a chance.
And yup, it's now FRIDAY! ;)
I mosied on over here from Marni's blog and just wanted to tell you that I'm really enjoying the read!
And I love your lamp...the 1st one from lowes....and the little turtle one is SO cool!
And I've burned quite a few pots in my home as well...usually because I'm too busy blogging to pay any attention to what's cooking on the stove.
i have the damn baskets in the coffee table..heres the kicker I BOUGHT THEM AFTER HAVING KIDS MORON ALERT.
also i was thinking of you cuz codi is sitting here fake coughing right now
You have to baby proof everything!! And say goodbye to the fashionable stuff right?
At least with those baskets at their level EVENTUALLY the can help clean up =) Cute stool!
LOL!! I don't plan on buying any new furniture til' my son is atleast 15! The furniture we have has been tortured by him!
