The reason my child can't nap...

Izzy was super fussy this morning, so I decided to rock him to sleep in his nursery. Miraculously, Porgie stayed in the living room, so he went right to sleep. I quietly crept out of the room. Fifteen minutes later I heard a loud noise on his monitor, followed by little whimpers. My dumb ass husband had walked into his room and woke him up. Bastard. I went back in and rocked Izzy to sleep again. I quietly crept out of the room once again. Five minutes later I heard my dogs barking, followed my little whimpers. Bastards. I went back in and attempted to rock him to sleep again, but Porgie decided that she really wanted to bang on his door. Little bastard.

Now Izzy is crying, but refuses to sleep. Why is the world conspiring against me?

OMG I feel your pain.

One of my friend's has a white noise maker in her son's room. I watched him one night so she could go out with the hubs. As soon as I got him down their dog barked and I thought for sure he would have woken up. I went in his room to check on him and the dog barked while I was in there and you could hardly hear the bark over the soft noise. That may help, if I have another baby, I think I will invest in one of these little white noise makers.

Ella is a really light sleeper. Our dog's claws on our hardwood floor use to wake her up. It was horrible, my daughter was super fussy, so when she slept it was the only sanity I had.

That really sucks. My only advice is white noise. WE LOVE WHITE NOISE. It really helps. An air purifier or a humidifier or one of those machines or something.

I used to have the same problem and then somebody told me to play music but the music was too much for him but then I got a noise maker that has different options and it is the same songs over and over. He sleeps so well now. He cannot hear anything but the music. I wouls buy one asap.

But I also feel your pain. I am sorry. It must be so hard.

I think that they are all talking after you go to sleep, to figure out the things that would annoy you. Then they do them!

Good luck and did you know that dogs, kids, and husbands can be locked out of the house!?!?!?
