Question for all of you...

Why do people seem to stop writing posts on the weekends? I have never really understood this blogging phenomenon. I still have my computer on the weekends. Porgie still naps and sleeps on the weekend, thus freeing up some of my time. Yes, my husband is home, but we only have so much to talk about.

So, why do most bloggers stop writing on the weekends?

Of course, no one reads blogs on the weekends, so I probably won't receive any responses.

I am one of the few that actually do read blogs on the weekends. I think people don't blog on the weekend b/c no one reads, which means no one comments. I know that I tend not to blog as much on the weekend for that reason. Also, even though it's a no no, I think a lot of people write and read blogs at work, so that also leads to less weekend blogging.

When I was working I blogged there most of the time and didn't have the time to blog on the weekends. Now that I don't work, it's open game to blog anytime there's a moment to. Maybe everyone's just fallen into the habit of "taking the weekend off", including blogging? Of course, with this month being NaBloPoMo (or whatever the hell it's called), everyone that's involved is posting even on the weekends. Which is nice, because there's always something to read!

I've wondered this too...I read blogs on the weekend and feel quite sad when no one has updated (of course, I am guilty of that too).

*sitting with guilty look*
I don't know that there is a specific reason why.
I'm still working on not having a week go between posts. That's another story that WILL be told soon...on Monday. j/k! :-)

I read and write MORE on the weekends, because it's the only time I actually have time. I don't know why nobody else does this.

My reasoning is like Chas's, basically. My reading and commenting habits don't change, though.

I do most of my blogging at work, and there are these 2 small people here who feel the need to be connected to my hip at all times during the weekend. I also do my grocery shopping, massive piles of laundry & in-real-life-socializing over the weekend.

I'm only on right now, because yesterday was Joe's birthday & I got him a digital picture frame. There is something wrong with the SD card that I bought to go with it, so I'm trying to figure out how to reformat the card.

I understand the weekends - I think folks are too busy trying to soak up as much time with their families as possible. However, what floors me is Friday. Why are people not reading and writing on Fridays?

i blog on the weekend because i have more time - even if it's just an hour caught while O is napping. of course, my partner is a blogger and geek too...so he's perfectly happy when we both spend an hour of Saturday afternoon pecking away at our respective keyboards...

Interesting question..probably because most people blog at work but I blog at work and at home and I guess it is just a habit that I have created. I have computers in both plpaces. Who knows.

I don't know! I read a lot on the weekends because I can't read at work and really am pretty busy in the evenings. I also try to post atleast once on the weekend.

I totally agree with you and have often wondered the same thing! I post on the weekend, and read on the weekends just like it is any other day. I do tend to write lame blogs on the days that I work because I sleep all day, and really have nothing to talk about except work.

Because weekends are my time to be lazy. Reading blogs and blogging is part of my normal routine, and the weekend is a complete lack of normal routine (except for Baby E's naps, which I am almost religious about). Of course, I hardly ever update my blog (oops), but I'm just going to pretend like I am a regular blogger.

because some of us, like me, do not even own a computer. or a television. So we write at wrok, Monday through Friday, and skip the week-ends!
