Scrapes and Accidents and Gas, oh my

I decided to take Porgie outside to play in the yard Thursday. Of course, she only wanted to run on the sidewalk. She bent over to pick up a stick, and ended up falling face first onto the concrete. Poor little Porgie scrapped up her forehead and nose. She looks very sad now.

My husband decided to buy a bottle of wine to drink on Thursday night. He ended up drinking WAY TOO MUCH, and was in the bathroom vomiting by 11:00 pm. He got up for work at 4:00 am on Friday, and ended up getting in an accident later that day. I feel bad for him. I know he is stressed and overworked, and this is only going to add to his woes (he was driving his company vehicle).

Izzy seems to be suffering from some severe gas problems. He grunts and farts and arches his back in pain. It is very sad to watch him suffer. I have been offering Mylicon and Gripe Water, but nothing seems to help. He was crying so inconsolably on Friday morning that I called the pediatrician's office. They basically said its completely normal. How is crying in pain completely normal?

My other friend who had her baby the same day as Izzy is going through the same thing with regard to gassiness. I remember it from that age, too. It will pass. His intestines are just getting used to eating. Try helping him sit up propped in a Boppy or something. I know that must be hard to see him in pain, though!

I'm so sorry about John. He must be stressed! Not as much as you though!

My baby just fell on a sidewalk and scraped up her forehead, too. No Christmas picture for her!

Any chance Izzy has reflux? Does the crying get worse after feeding? He doesn't have to be spitting up a lot in order to be in pain from reflux...{{HUGS}}

Oh my goodness, suck! But they say that crappy things happen in threes so I think you must be set, right!?! I'll have to ask my friend about the "magic organic gas drops" she gave her son that worked wonders. I'll let you know if I hear back. Take care and many hugs. Maybe you are the one who needed some of that wine?

I 2nd checking for reflux. Our DR kept passing it off as gas/normal and when we switched DR's (totally different post) they let us try Zantac and within 3 days, K was
10X better!
Can't hurt to try it for a month and see if it helps. Or at least keep it in the back of your mind for the future.

We tried Nutramigen formula and it really seemed to ease all of her bowel issues.

I am having the week of suck, too. :-) Hope it gets better soon!

Max has such bad gas. He was allergic to some of the stuff I was eating. I cut out dairy and things got better.

Poor Porgie. Kiss the boo boo

Poor John and poor you guys for your date night.

this gas thing is the exact reason why codi only wants to sleep on his belly right now uggggg

The Nutramigen comment also made me think of dairy. If you're nursing, cow's milk can be a big offender in baby's tummy via your milk.

Billy always used to have terrible wind, my health visitor advised me to massage around his tummy button clock wise, did work but only press gently.

Bumps and bruises are the normal in our house, he has a cut through his eye brow at the mo
