We had a break-through last night. Porgie ate dinner! She ate an entire plate of food. We had soy ravioli, which tasted fabulous apparently. So, that was great. We have also been working on getting Izzy to eat table food, and he scarfed down his ravioli too. So, I highly recommend this product.Sorry I have been such a downer lately. I don't know what is wrong with me. I seem to be swinging between highs and lows. I think my mood swings stem from the fact that Izzy just dropped another nursing session. I think my hormones have gone completely wacky. My baby boy is a freaking toddler. He is 14 months old. I just want to freeze time and stay in this phase for a few years. My kids are such great little people. I love them to pieces.
I think I am also a little off kilter because I haven't been leaving the house much lately. Between being fiscally responsible, having icy/snowy weather, and being sick, I haven't had the opportunity to interact with people. And it is kind of depressing. But we are going to the Children's Museum this afternoon, so hopefully that will lighten the mood around here.
To recap, happiness is soy ravioli, nursing your baby, and getting out of the damn house.

Great news! Celebrate by taking everyone out for some kind of cheap/free activity! I hear you about the snow/ice. It's very isolating.
Yay! I haven't seen those-I'll keep my out. I know how you feel about being inside. This week I was looking forward to a trip to the dentist and the gyno just to get out of the house. You know I am desperate when I am loooking to get violated in both ends in one week. That museum sounds great. where is it? I think friends if ours asked us to go.
That's great! About the eating anyway... I'm pretty sure I could not get my husband to eat those, but glad she liked them lol. Pasta is usually a hit.
Being stuck inside will def do that. And I'm sure cutting down a feeding would too... we haven't hit that point yet and I'm not looking fwd to it.
AW YEAH! :) It is good to break out of the house for a while :) We all need that! I have never tried the ravioli, sounds good, I will have to check that one out!! :)
I wish that product was sold here as i would buy it for my kids to try.
Enjoy your trip out to the museum ~
it's not fun to cooped up in the house all day.
love,

yay for soy ravioli!! and yay for you and porgie :) huge moment friend!!
as for the highs and lows - i seriously had no idea dropping a nursing session could cause such drama. my poor husband - we were both back at the beginning - me in tears and him in utter confusion.
but as you well know this too shall pass. but in the mean time, i feel for you sister.
ps - totally right there with you on the not getting out of the house due to freezing the checking act, ice and cold, and sickness. but sometimes we must escape!! hope you enjoy every moment of your out this afternoon!
you always make me smile! i totally agree, i am a much happier person when i work out and get out of the house. i was home for three days with ice, and about to go crazy!
I have never seen that over here in the UK ~ will have to see if I can get some!!
I am so glad that Porgie and Izzy loved it and that things seem a little brighter.
Hope you had fun on your outing,
Take care ~ love and hugs Tabitha XX
Not surprised. :)
I am so with you on getting out of the darn house! I can't wait for winter to be over. I need this kids to get fresh air!
This is wonderful to hear! That definitely is a break through. Don't apologize for your moods. We are here to support you through the good and bad. You do the same for all of us!
Girl I understand..I have been in a funk as of late! I need to leave my house but it is miserable scary winter weather, I have no money and Sophia is a big ball of sick right now! I can't wait to get back to normal and out of my funk!! I hope you start feeling better too! Hormones are a bitch!
how did you prepare it, christy??? did you just boil it; or did you add a spaghetti type sauce??? it sounds yummy... as i love all pasta (especially the stuffed pastas;)!!!
as far as your mood, you are probably right; it could very well be a mixture of season yuck and hormones:/ take care; this too shall pass:)
love,
dani
I've never seen those ravioli's before... Good to hear the kids loved them! Hope you enjoy your day out. I have to get out of the house or I go crazy.
i've been AWOL and didn't realize what you've been going through, but just read back and wow, Christy, well-done on the hard look in the mirror. i think i have some control stuff with O that's still hanging around our own mealtimes, though he's become a lot more engaged recently. and the clue for me was the very same quote you mentioned, in a different paraphrase...i am responsible for healthy food going on the table, and he is responsible for what of it he eats. that way everyone has agency.
it's been working for us...i wish you continued luck too.
Where is the childrens museum? Sounds like a lot of fun!
We're having that issue, too -- trying to save money means staying in, more. We're struggling with finding ways to keep us motivated to keep saving but also keep from getting bored/depressed.
