Physical abuse

I am convinced that baby-number-two is destined to be bad. It took Porgie a few years to figure out how to be really bad. At the tender age of one, Izzy already has everything figured out.

My little guy is bad. He slaps, pushes, and pulls on other people. He steals toys. He opens the refrigerator door. He unscrews the lid on his sippy cup. He takes his diaper off. He plays in the dog's water bowl. He pulls garbage out of the trash can. He splashes in the toilet water.

Although some of these offenses are typical toddler behavior, some of them are learned behaviors from his big sister - namely the pushing, pulling, and slapping of other people. Izzy has become quite an aggressive little guy. While nursing him, he beats the crap out of me. Seriously, I walk away feeling like a battered woman. The child is relentless.

But when I look at his little face, all is forgiven...

Nora was being really rough with me for a while but it's wearing off...hopefully you'll have the same!

That is a cute face... but Kalila's the same age and does the same stuff, so I guess she's bad too lol. The only of those she hasn't done is play in the toilet water, but that's becasue we keep the door closed and the lids down (cats will jump in otherwise). She has tried to lift the lid though so she prob would if we didn't catch her in time...

maybe it's the age. Grayson, who admittedly is older, has started hitting too. I am at a loss of what to do about it. The face, it is too cute.

I am right there with you. I always say to LM "You are such a boy!" They are just so different.

It's amazing what they pick up from big sisters, in my case it's big brothers!!
Have you ever seen a 3 year old wrestling ~ that's what mine has learned courtesy of his 3 older brothers :-/
But it's hard to stay angry with a face like that though!

OMG....I feel the same way. I was wondering why everyone else was going on about the joys of motherhood and I was getting the crap beat out of me by my child. I'm sorry you are getting beaten up....but I'm glad to not be alone....

(and it usually works.)

Unfortunately, most kids that age don't truly understand it hurts the other person when they slap, push, pull, etc. He probably thinks it is funny. I remember being kicked a lot by Boo and she would laugh and laugh. Of course, as she grew she realzied it hurt. I used to bite when I was a kid and my mom tired EVERYTHING to get me to stop. Finally, when I was about 3, after I bit my best friend at the time, my mom bit me back. She bit me so hard it apparently left a huge bruise on my arm that lasted for days and days. I never did bite again. Of course, this day in age a mom biting her child would be called abuse!!

He is such a doll and hopefully he will grow out of the abusive stage sooner rather than later for your sake. No fun nursing a little boxer!

OH man! When E bit me I growled at her as loud as I could and turned my back. It only happened one more time and then she stopped. I growl at her when she does something I really don't like and it seems tro get through.
