Random things

I have no idea what size clothing my child wears. Porgie is at a weird stage, where her 12 month clothing is too little, but her 18 month clothing is too large. I purchased all 18 month clothing for the fall and winter. So, every time I put a pair of pants on my daughter, the bottom of the pants get caught under her feet. As a result, she pulls down the back of her pants when walking. This means that her ass is always hanging out. Kind of frustrating.

__________

I have been trying to get some of my Christmas shopping done. Izzy will be born at the end of November, so I need to get everything done before the big day. Since we are not going back to Kentucky this year, I am only buying gifts for a few people. John said that he isn't going to buy his family anything. Whatever. I am not going to stress about his family too. If he wants to be a Grinch this Christmas, that is his problem - not mine.

__________

Stephen Colbert is running for president. I am super excited!

__________

I am woefully behind on getting ready for Izzy's arrival. I have not bought any nursery furniture. I have not bought a double stroller. I have not purchased any newborn diapers. Basically, I have nothing for little Izzy. I need to get my ass moving! Just in case you were wondering, I have never suffered from that "nesting" thing, I often hear other mom's talk about.

Paragraph 1: I am completely in agreement. Ditto here.

Paragraph 2: Mostly my family has agreed to no gifts except for the baby, which is awesome.

Paragraph 4: Well he can always sleep in a drawer and travel in his sling!

I have the same problem with the clothes. Most of the time I end up rolling up his cuffs even though it makes him look like a little person.

What I don't get is why there isn't a "15 month" size. I mean, it goes 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, then BOOM 18 months? WTH? And where I used to pre-purchase clothing at the end of a season for the next year (at a huge discount), I am completely perplexed as to what size he'll be in by then. 24 months, 2T, 3T, 4T etc....what does it all mean???!!!

We're going through the same thing with pants. I've had to use a diaper pin in the back of K's pants to cinch the waist a bit and keep them up.

Ellie is now almost 18 months and she is still wearing a 12 month fleece sleeper that she wore last year during the winter!

She is so small and slinky for her age that it is a bit funny. We know all about rolling up pants in the house:)

you know---Gage is that way too. If I buy pants that fit in the length, then they are waaaaay too big at the waist & his diaper/pull up is always hanging out!

I need to get him an itty-bitty belt!

Is that for real? Colbert for president? Because as a Canadian who watches American TV, he is my hero of funny and if I could, I would vote for him.

Yeah Baby E is in the same weird size phase as well. So I just continue to wedge her into size 12 months clothes. She's kinda short, so it works. I like it when her belly bulges over her pants. Ha ha

I never had the nesting thing either. Go figure. (I kept waiting for it, because my fridge really needed (needs) to be cleaned...)

I'm cheap. I always buy a size a little large so the boys can wear it for the entire season. This means that pants are always loose in September and tight in May. Right around Christmas, though, they fit just right.
