My poor babe

We have had some bad lucky in our house lately. Last week, Porgie fell down our front steps. It happened so quickly - she was babbling on and on about her snacks, and she walked right off the first step without realizing it. She tumbled down the three steps and landed flat on her back. She scraped an elbow and a knee, but came away relatively unscathed. She only whimpered and whined for a few moments. Today we didn't get off quite as a easy.

Shortly after John got home from work, he went outside to talk to one of our neighbors. Izzy was happily scooting around the livingroom. He was lingering near the door, looking for daddy. When John began walking up the front steps, Izzy scooted toward the front door to meet him. As John opened the door, Izzy lunged forward. He did a face plant on the front stoop. I heard the sickening thud as his face slammed the concrete. And then I heard the screams. The blood curdling screams. My baby boy was frantic. It was so sad. I felt horrible for letting my little guy fall into harm's way.

After some rocking and hugging and kissing, Izzy calmed down. He has a bump on his forehead, a scrape on his temple, and a possible black eye. But despite his injuries, he was all smiles tonight...

Oh. ;( Sometimes it's harder on us than it is them. I had to take a few slivers out of my little guy's foot and I was cringing...

I do love the teeth though! He's a cutie with those little chompers.

my cora just did the exact same thing on concrete two weeks ago.

it's amazing what they can survive and smile through, huh?

i would have been complaining for days and milking it for everything it was worth, if it was me.

The first one is always the hardest. Now? I just look at them and say, in the finest Monty Python tradition, "It's only a flesh wound."

But I'm glad he bounced back so fast. That's always a good sign. :)

Poor BABY! The more Cole starts moving around on his own the more he falls and bonks his head. I feel horrible each and every time!

Awww!
Being a boy, that will be his 1st bruise of many to come!
Having 4 boys, we have had our fair share of knocks.
Hugs to Izzy,

Poor babies.......it always hurts my heart a little when Z gets hurt too. They are tougher than we give them credit for.....but I still hate to see those bumps and bruises all over those cute little babies!!!

Izzy is still adorable despite his little war wounds though....I know....that doesn't really make you feel any better about it, does it?

Max used to have a week here or there where I am not lying everyday he would get hurt, fall, or bang into a door, or get smacked into an opening door. It was bad and I always felt horrible. Hugs to the momma. babies recover fast.
