Stream of Consciousness: Part 22

At least once per week, someone will ask me if Izzy and Porgie are twins. Yes, he is a big baby, but he certainly doesn't look like a two year old. Other people are jackasses.
___________

I have a hard time grasping the concept that other people do not get up at the crack of dawn. On more than one occasion, I have called a friend at 8am. When they finally pick up the phone, they sound groggy and sleepy. Oops! I just assume that if I have been awake for a few hours, everyone else must be awake too.
___________

I am going to apologize in advance for this one. I have noticed that MANY people have my blog name misspelled on their blogroll. I know I am being an asshole, but it really bugs me. Could you please check to make sure you spelled it correctly? It is NOT Cakerwalkers. It is Cakerwakers. There is no L in the name. Thanks!
___________

Do you sometimes feel like Americans are overly concerned with how they look? Why are we so obsessed with being perfect? Perfect hair, perfect teeth, perfect clothes, perfect weight. Does this disturb you? Because lately it has been disturbing me. I find myself eager to change parts of my body that I find unappealing. Yet at the same time, I want to embrace my flaws and accept them. This notion becomes even more confusing when you see your own physical flaws duplicated in your child.
___________

Izzy has his 9 month check up on Tuesday. My little guy still isn't crawling, but can roll like it is nobody's business! He can also clap, wave bye-bye, and is starting to cruise around while holding onto furniture. I am absolutely amazed at how quickly he has grown. It feels like I just had him last Tuesday. SERIOUSLY!
___________

Porgie has morphed into one of those big kids. She sits in a regular chair when she go out to eat. She requests water ice when we go out for our nightly stroll. And she picks out her own clothes. Amazing!
___________

And here are some cute pictures for your viewing pleasure...

Hey, saw your Obama button...are you sure it doesn't need an "L"? HAHAHAHA

I know...these babies grow up way too quit....I wish it would slow down...but they keep getting more fun too....soo.....

I bet Izzy skips the crawling and just gets up and walks one day. Screw the crawling.....

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

When I wrote "quit"...I meant quick...

Oh, those eyes are beautiful!

And I've got you right, I think :-) Thank goodness I noticed and admitted my folly before this post, or I'd be hanging my head in shame ::teehee::

I had to go check my blogroll too. I'm good. But I can't imagine my OCD would allow an oversight like that on my blog!

I sometimes look at my toddlers and think where are my babies?!

Checked the spelling, I was ok :-)

My 2 year old always, always, always get mistaken for being older than she is. When 3 and under are free at a restaurant I always get the look like I am lying about her age. I think it is her hair that ages her.

Love the pics, they are so cute!!!

I forgot to mention this earlier, but if it makes you feel any better someone mistook me & my sis for twins too. She's 10 1/2 years younger than me and while we have the same face... there really is no confusing us lol. Different mom's = different colouring. It happens. I think some people just don't think. You could always make some smart comment like yeah they are, you just carried him an extra however many months or something lol.

MSN featured an article yesterday written by a guy who is turned off by women who get plastic surgery. It was damned interesting stuff! He said he wants a woman who is confident enough to accept herself entirely with dignity and humor. I liked that.

I got the name right!! ;) I had to go and check though, but I was pretty sure I had it correct! Beautiful pics!!

I know what you mean on the looks thing. Other people are obnoxious.

I call people early, too. But they're usually up or they don't answer! I personally don't have the ringer on the phone on upstairs at night (or, really, very often) making it impossible for people to wake me up.

I bet Izzy will go straight to walking if he is already cruising. But I soo get the stress of them not crawling!! I was worried something was wrong with Sophia...i mean hello she was 10 months!! Now instead of worrying about crawling I worry about her lack of eating!! Sigh. Always something to worry about!!

The pictures of your babes are so cute! It must be weird seing Porgie become such a big girl!

What cute kids you have! I have also been asked the twin question. People are stupid.

Oh, and I updated my blogroll. For some reason I had "Canklewankles". Strange.... :) JUST KIDDING!

It is a tough thing to accept our flaws... We need to do more of it though. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Your kids have the cutest eyes.

Cuties! Get this, I get asked if my two are twins too. Yes, they are the same age, but my daughter is Haitian for the love, she is black. I am not. How would that work exactly?

Yeah some people are really nutty and not sure why. Izzy and Porgie DIO NOT look like twins and I saw them in person. Whatever you haver awesome milk that makes that baby grow. Screw them.

I am so glad that Porgie is a little woman already. She is so damn cute.
