Stream of Consciousness: Part 21

I got my hair cut and dyed this weekend. I look fabulous. Seriously.

Izzy has decided that he no longer wants to eat pureed foods AGAIN. This seems to be an ongoing battle with my little guy. He is currently eating lots of pasta, mixed veggies, and beans.

We had a new front door installed last week. Our new door is super spiffy. Be on the lookout for before and after pictures.

I have developed a serious addiction to these cookies. I bought them for Porgie, but she has only gotten to eat a few. Mommy, on the other hand, has eaten nearly an entire box. Ugh.

Porgie has turned into a little parrot. She repeats nearly everything we say. One morning I was trying to pull our stroller out of the van. After several failed attempts, I said, "Fuck it!" And then Porgie said, "Fuck it!" I was so proud.

I think we have fleas. I have numerous bite marks on my ankles. Porgie has a few too. My husband thinks I am insane, because he hasn't been bitten even one time. I put Frontline on the animals last month. What else can a girl do?

I have come to the conclusion that we are not going to get our swing set this summer. We just have too many things to do to the house first. This Fall, we are planning on having the landscaping ripped out of the front flower beds, and building a new shed in the backyard. Next Spring, we will plant new shrubbery, and get a privacy fence for the yard. And hopefully we'll have enough money for the swing set by the end of next summer.

Because laziness has gotten the best of me, I have decided not to have my yard sale. Instead, I am going to list all of the good stuff on Craig's List. Anyone looking for a 75 gallon aquarium with a solid oak stand and canopy?

Izzy keeps crying for attention, so I guess that is my cue to get off the internet. See you later alligators!

I would like to see a pic of your spiffy new hairdo...I'm in the market for a new look.

Fleas: Gggrrrr! hate em. Steam clean the rugs. vacuum every.single.friggin.day.

We don't even have pets & Mag's ankles are covered with bites. Damn her best friend's parents for letting their stupid cat run around loose.

Can't wait to see the new hair!

You should try and put the aquarium on Craigslist for your area.. You'd be surprised how many takers you'll get.. I was getting ready to put my old queen sized bed out of the curb and for laughs I put it on Craigslist and sold it for 200 bucks....

PS - A haircut and color, now that's what i need.. I bet it looks great!!

I think we do need a pic :-)
I love the parroting you because it is not my child. I have really had to start watching myself. When BG says "Oh Shit" I tell people no she just said "I see"

Oooh those cookies come in Oatmeal Cinnamon huh? We only have the vanilla flavor!

Wow, sounds like you are doing a lot of work around the house. Very nice!

Oatmeal cinnamon sounds good!

I need to watch my mouth....I don't want a little parrot. ;)

If it is fleas, you can ask the vet for Capstar. It can be used along with Frontline....Capstar starts killing fleas with 1/2 hour after given to the cat or dog. So, the fleas can't live on your pet...and can't survive without the host.Frontline is supposed to just keep them from reproducing.

Do you have a sand box? Sometimes you can get fleas in your sand.

And I wanna see your new 'do!

You crack me up! I also wonder if we could ever get fleas in our house. WE have two dogs and despite the fact that we monthly put flea stuff on them, I still wonder...

I also love those cookies. It was hard to restrain from eating them when Jack was snacking. ;)

I love when you do these posts. They are full of so much good info.

I am so glad you love your new look. I am so excited to meet up next week. Yeah!!

I also have bites on my ankles but I just thought they were from being in the grass and outside so much. HHHHMMMM.

LOL at the parrot. K has picked up some new lingo recently as well.....

I wish I could dye my hair again.. it hit me the other day it's almost been 2 years since I did = way too long.

LOL at the parrot too... We're talking about watching what we say here, but haven't had any luck yet. Thankfully Kalila hasn't repeated any of those yet. I'd be surprised too.. fuck or khara (two most used here) are a little more complicated than repeating yalla or kitty.

Would love to see the new haircut and your brand new door!
And i really hope you get that swingset next summer, Izzy will be a good age to play with it along with Porgie next summer.

you can get a flea powder for your carpet ... or a flea bomb, but you'll have to leave the house for awhile while it works.

I hate fleas. Thanks for reminding me why we don't have animals anymore!

I love those cookies too!!

Oh and I am just waiting for the day that Cole starts imitating all the bad words I say. He already tries to mimic what I say and sometimes he gets DARN CLOSE. This is just the beginning AHH!

I had a similar addiction to those damn ABC cookies. They are too tasty to be reserved for the kids. I mean, they can just eat my crumbs right?

And, for bites, have you tried citronella oil or Avon's Skin So Soft?

One day I tripped and said sh*t. Kyler walked around all day repeating it. The bad thing is he actually used it in the correct context! Oops!

PS Love those cookies too!

Craigs list is awesome to sell things on. You should totally post a picture of your hair and the new front door.
