Dusgusted.

I don't normally talk about politics on my blog, but I am greatly disturbed by McCain's selection for vice president. I would write a post on the subject, but I read a blog that summed up my opinions perfectly this morning. Go check it out.

Hmmm, I'll have to politely disagree. I like McCain's pick. I think if a person is inherently liberal they're going to dislike any candidate that was chosen. It's just finding an argument that can seem to hold water as to why to dislike and bash the choice. If we're going off of who is most experienced, I wouldn't say Obama is a great pick either.

i love american politics... if i weren't on a diet, i'd prepare a ginormous bowl of popcorn smothered with butter/heavy on the salt and just sit back and totally enjoy the next 60+ days.
i'm one that can totally appreciate all view points yet NOT appreciate the fact that, of all the americans we have from which to choose, we keep ending up with the not-so-cream of the crop to elect.
christy, i hope porgie is doing better:)
love,
dani

I also have to humbly disagree with the referenced writer. Most weren't going to vote for Clinton simply because she was a woman, just as most won't vote for Palin simply because she's a woman.

But, regardless of your politics, it was a fair point made by Palin in her speech that there's still a chance to crack that ceiling. Either way, it's going to be a historic election.

Palin isn't going to appeal to most democrats because of her core platform. I find it odd so many women are offended by McCain's choice (and I'm not really talking about you, Christy, just others I've read/heard) - if you don't believe in her stances on the issues, she shouldn't offend you anymmore than a man in her shoes who is prolife/proNRA/etc., if that makes sense. Personally, I think her role served more to energize the socially conservative base of the Republican party.

And I agree with the PP, it's going to be an interesting next 60+ days.

(kudos to you Christy for bringing up politics. I think it makes life more interesting to have good, respectful discussions). :)

Well, Christy, you know as your blog sister....I AGREE with you! This should be insulting to women. The GOP is counting on women being shallow enough to vote for McCain now.....and I guess hope for his death....which is weird....so we can have a woman President.

Well, at least McCain can't really attack Obama on his lack of experience during the debates. Its gonna get messy. I am on a diet...but I will still get my snacks ready for the smackdowns that incur....should make for good television.

You know I'm for Obama...since I've got his buttons all over my blog....but at the end of the day...I'm a Christian and I have faith that whatever happens is meant to be. God's will be done.....

I'm with you, too. I actually first read about her a few weeks ago when she started facing those ethics charges regarding her ex-BIL. And my first thought was "wow, what a jerkwater little state". And now this. I have a feeling this is going to blow up in McCain's face.

If he really wanted a woman, Kay Bailey Hutchison would have been a fantastic choice. But I bet KBH would have been harder to control.

Talking politics on blogs tends to open a nasty can of worms so to that I say... I couldn't agree with you more. The end.

some people will go for it because they just want to see a woman in office, even if it is playing 2nd fiddle to an old white man.

some people will be offended just as many others are.

some people will feel that she is underqualified...

some people will vote that ticket just because they'd rather see a woman in the passenger seat than a minority in the driver's seat.

it's a shame really....all of these things that make people vote or not vote a certain way... how many people out there really vote on the issues??? ya know?

Sorry, I agree w/ dooneybug & awake... but I second your not liking to talk politics on blog. I can just imagine how that would backfire on me w/ my family lol.

I think he just made it a whole lot easier for the Democratic party to win. I agree with you- he made a bad choice.

I have spent ALL WEEKEND trying to avoid this very topic (inlaws- whoo boy!). I feel that she is FRIGHTENINGLY underqualified. I cannot imagine having her as president should something happen to her (old) running mate. No thanks. GO OBAMA! Buwhahaha!

I am the sort of guy who enjoys to taste innovative stuff. Presently I'm manufacturing my own pv panels. I am doing it all alone without the assistance of my men. I'm utilizing the net as the only way to acheive this. I discovered a really amazing site which explains how to contruct solar panels and so on. The internet site explains all the steps involved in solar panel construction.

I'm not exactly sure bout how accurate the data given there iz. If some people over here who had xp with these things can have a peak and give your feedback in the thread it will be awesome and I would extremely treasure it, because I truly like solar panel construction.

Thanks for reading this. You people rock.
