I am an addict

I am addicted to Target. I love everything about it - the smell, the look, the feel. I go there at least once per week. If I just went to look around, this would be fine. However, I can't manage to leave the store without purchasing at least $50.00 worth of crap I don't really need.

I am also a Target snob. I think all other stores are gross. Walmart? Yuck. Kmart? Nasty. My friend C was telling me about some great deal she got at Walmart, and I actually rolled my eyes are her. I felt myself doing it and I tried to stop, but it was too late. I attempted to correct my display of arrogance by explaining how much I LOVED Target. She didn't get it, and continued to talk about the great prices at Walmart.

I went to Target last night to get some soy milk for Porgie. I walked out with 5 containers of soy milk, a Barney DVD, a set of bunny ears, two packs of diapers, and this...
Every kid needs a growth chart - right?

This wouldn't have been so bad, except for the fact that I spent $75. And all I needed was soy milk. I think I need help.

I'm a Target snob too. I love, love, love Target! Everyone in my small town loves Wal-Mart (the Target is about 30 minutes away) and I just hate it. I avoid that nasty store like the plague. Target is much more fun!

I am a Target snob too!!! I live in Arkansas, so WalMart is EVERRRRYYYYYwhere. But I can use the excuse that Target is closer. :) By like two miles. hehe. Annnnd... there are less people and it seems CLEANER people. Walmart seems to attract the people who crawl out from under rocks in the mountains. Yes, that bad. Ugh.

Hmmmm. Tarrrrr-get. I admit (shamefully) that I do frequeent Wal-mart. But, I get a case of diapers, HUGGIES even, for under @$20.00 & I always have a coupon.

That's usually all I buy there. Diapers and wipes. and contact lens solution (a double pack for under $5)
My SIL works at Target & she gave me one of her "target-team-member-discount-cards so now I get 10% off all my purchases. BOOYAH!

I am exactly the same way about Target vs. Walmart. When I first moved here 10 years ago I had never been to a Target and didn't understand the obsession. Then we got a Target about 6 years ago and I cannot go back to WM. And I cannot leave there without buying all kinds of unplanned things.

I am finally caught up on your blog. That trip to the GI doctor sounds horrific. And how is the elimination diet going? I guess I could just call you like a normal person but instead I'll ask questions here on your blog post about an entirely different subject. Also, the pain, yes, to me, it sounds like gallbladder. My mama had to have hers out. I like Target too. Izzy is adorable. I wish I could hold him. Awesome you lost some weight. See? All that milk-making. And on that subject, I'm sorry this problem has cropped up. Sucks.

I'm a Target snob too!!! Consider yourself lucky bc I can't seem to walk out of there under for 100.00. I consider it my weekly donation to a good cause ;)

I like Target oo. I have to steer clear b/c I can't continue to spend $75 every time. I'm just like you! I'll go in there, and walk out with a cart full of 1 thing that I need, and 10 things that I just want.

It is for that reason I do not go to target. I can't get out of there without spending $100. So most of the time I go to walmart. It is easer to go in there and just get what I needed. Nothing extra.

Apparently there's some kind of spenders anonymous clubs out there. I was once suggested I go...

On another note... I too was addicted to Walmart until I moved 30 minutes and a buttload of traffic away from it. Now I am (sniff sniff) going to Walmart once a week. It's not the same.

If you can find one person that can go in and out of Target without dropping atleast $50 or rather, buying more than they had intended then that person has some major will-power or is just plain boring.

I understand about Target.. I used to work a few stores down from one & went every day lol. The book section... so much better than WM! Now we go for diapers if nada else. Our last trip we went for nursing tanks & walked out w/ a game, 2 baby outfits & a baby cap lol. In my defense it was on sale!

I hate to tell you this though... I got that jumperoo at WM for over 10 dollars cheaper than the Target price.

Oh Target. When people ask me what I miss most about living in the US, the first thing out of my mouth is usually Target. Though I do go shopping much less because it's not so easily accessible. Also, my best maternity clothing was from Target, hands down.
