Colors

Porgie calls her crayons "colors," which she pronounces as "cullies." She is basically obsessed with coloring. I can not put the damn crayons away, because she will have a complete meltdown. So, the crayons are always on her easel tray for easy access.

At first, Porgie just loved coloring on her easel. We were in the honeymoon phase of her coloring adventure. Then she took a liking to coloring the refrigerator, which I scolded her for on numerous occasions. Then she took a liking to coloring her toys, which I scolded her for on numerous occasions. And finally, she took a liking to coloring the wall, which I totally flipped out about and yelled and made her cry. It only happened once.

Fortunately, I think Porgie has finally learned that she is only allowed to color on PAPER. Of course, these means that she colors on every damn sheet of paper in the house. For example...

But, I am not complaining. She can color on my calendar anytime, as long as she leaves my damn walls alone.

So creative!

The paint on our playroom's walls are old. I decided to leave it that way in case she colors on them. Of course I've only set her up to color a couple of times. That easel is good idea because otherwise the paper moves too much!

HAHAHAH! Yeah, at least it's not on the walls. I would've freaked out too. The easel is cute! And you know, sometimes I'd like to scribble on my calendar too...but it would just look childish if *I* did it. heheh.

Cute! My son calls them "colors" too. We only bring them out on occasion and the last time we did he brought his hand up to the wall to color on it and I snapped at him before he did it. He hasn't tried again yet but I just know if I left crayons out the house would be one big display of art. BTW, the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works well for getting "colors" off the walls!

Ah yes, we are going through the same adventure here in the Superhero household. Luckily Baby E has not discovered the walls yet. However the curtain, my library book, and the furniture have all fallen prey. Usually she will stick to random pieces of newspaper I give her. She likes to color out all the faces (<--a little weird). Heaven forbid she actually color in a coloring book. She just won't do it.

OMG-LOOKS AT THOSE EYES. SHE IS GROWING UP SO FAST AND GETTING SO BIG. SHE LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE GIRL NOW.

AS THE POOP FROM YESTERDAY EMAIL-WELL AT LEAST IT IS NORMAL.

That is so funny! E says cullie in exactly the same way! How weird! She also says water the same way... wattie. We try over and over again to get her to say it correctly. She has a little friend named Hunter and she can say the er on Hunter but when I say color or water... she always ends it with and ie. HA. Too funny.

E also will not color unless we are doing it with her... she is insistent that we get down on the floor and color too... and she always wants the color I have so there is always lots of trading going on.

I love the easel idea... very cute!

So cute! Has she taken to coloring herself yet!? Zachary still sometimes does that and it's annoying! She is adorable :-)

Can I tell you how much E and I have already collied this morning. TOO MUCH!!

Oh well, as long as she is not screaming and crying, I am good!

yes, Gage has colored on his wall too...just a little in the corner behind the rocking chair. See? He was hiding...he KNEW he wasn't allowed to do that!
Anyway....I can't bring myself to Magic Erase it yet... I'm sappy like that.
