I am hopeless

Earlier this week, I decided that Porgie and I were going to bake cookies for Halloween. So, we headed to Target to get some cookie dough and cookie cutters. Unfortunately, they were completely out of Halloween cookie cutters. Undeterred, we bought heart, flower, and butterfly shaped cookie cutters. And some orange and white sprinkles (to be festive).

I am not really sure where we went wrong, but the cookies didn't turn out quite right.

This cookie was supposed to be a butterfly...
This cookie was supposed to be a flower..
This cookie was supposed to be a heart...
I thought this project was idiot proof. I guess I was wrong.

    i am pretty sure when it comes to cookies the only thing that is really important is that they tasted good.

    the premade doughs never work for me either. I make those cookies on a stick for the kids and the dough always puffs up too much. However, I keep using it because sugar cookies from scratch and just don't work together right either :-)

    They might not be the shape they were supposed to be, but they look good and i bet they taste good too!

    As long as they still taste good... But I know what you mean. I've had that problem before. Not sure why that would happen if you used a mix - but I had something similar happen to me when I forgot to add an additional cup of flour.

    I have Halloween cookie cutters and we haven't made cookies yet. We also haven't carved a pumkin (was supposed to happen last night). We are complete failures as parents.

    i hate when that happnes, lol.. i feel like i can't ever get a break either...
