I have a personal question to ask all the ladies. I have my 6 week postpartum check-up this week, and Iam still bleeding. Should I reschedule my appointment? John has already asked off for work, so I kind of feel like I have to go. Tell me what you think...
I'd say no.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't still bleeding at my PP check up, but mine was at 8 weeks.
I'd keep the appt. Not only did your hubby take off work---but, surely you are not the ONLY one to go & still be bleeding.
Hell, I've had my pap on my period before. Not my first choice, but sometimes my cycle is all screwy & those appts. are set so far in advance!
I was still bleeding too. It may be something you wanna talk to the OB about. I was still bleeding and still went.
ReplyDeleteKeep the apt. Plus you also just want to mnake sure everything is ok down there. But if your anything like me-I did not want anyone going in there after the baby just came out. lol
I think it's fine to go. They see hoo-has in all kinds of shape.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't think most OBs really care, as long as it is not the first day of a horrifying period or something. I know that can sometimes alter your pap results, but beacause your bleeding is likely related to having a baby, then I think it would be fine. Call and ask?
ReplyDeleteI was still spotting by my pp appt, and I went anyway. And still got the green light for sex. Go figure.
ReplyDeletei say yes they need to see how much blood and stuff if you are still spotting
ReplyDeleteI might be too late. I think you should go to the appt. anyway. The bleeding may be something you want to discuss with the MD.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's out of the ordinary to still be bleeding some when you go for your 6 week checkup. I think I was actually. I'm sure your doc won't be seeing anything he/she hasn't seen before.
